Can you help us?

Green Pedal is a non-profit organization whose main objective is the fight against hunger and poverty.

We are committed to the rural communities of Mozambique
to end hunger and poverty through the sustainable development of local food systems.

We try to incorporate clean energy and agroecology in our projects in a transversal way,
with the double objective of caring for the ecosystem and the health of the Mozambican population.

How do we fight against hunger?

Water Pump Bikes

One of our favorite and most effective tools to combat poverty is the water bike pumps.Specially adapted bikes that create a manual water pump for farm irrigation, simply by pedaling.

The water pump bikes provide permanent access to irrigation water helping low income families.

It is an ecological, low-cost, and high-impact social solution that ensures access to water solely through the power of legs for families without resources or in vulnerable situations.

Escolas de Paz

Escolas de Paz is a social initiative that offers comprehensive care to orphaned and vulnerable children to guarantee them a more dignified future.

It is made up of a group of young volunteers from the district of Chibabava, who for several years have been caring for, gathering, following the evolution and development of these children who live in extremely complicated conditions.

Reforestation

The reforestation project aims to achieve the regeneration of large areas of forest by planting native species in the community of Chibabava, Mozambique.

Nurseries will be built to promote regeneration and to supply agroforestry cultivation plots, using solar irrigation systems and different sustainable cultivation techniques.
